The Humidor at Match Cigar Bar
Oliva Cigars
Nicaraguan puros from the Oliva family. Five generations of tobacco mastery, from Pinar del Río to Estelí.
From Cuba to Nicaragua
The Oliva story begins in 1886, when Melanio Oliva planted his first tobacco seeds in the rich red soil of Pinar del Río, Cuba. What started as one man's passion for tobacco grew into one of the most respected cigar dynasties in the world.
When the revolution forced the family from Cuba, they rebuilt everything in Nicaragua — planting in the volcanic soils of Estelí, Jalapa, and Condega. Gilberto Oliva Sr. and his son Gilberto Jr. expanded the brand through the 1990s and 2000s, earning a reputation for meticulous quality and vertical integration.
The family grows their own tobacco across multiple Nicaraguan regions, controlling every step from seed to finished cigar. That commitment paid off in 2014, when the Oliva Serie V was named #1 Cigar of the Year by Cigar Aficionado.
Acquired by J. Cortès in 2016, the Oliva family remains deeply involved in production, ensuring the same standard of excellence that has defined the brand for over a century.

Serie O
Habano Wrapper
Medium-full body with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. Delivers serious flavor at a price that makes it a daily driver for experienced smokers. Consistently one of the best values in premium cigars.

Serie G
Cameroon Wrapper
The milder side of Oliva. Wrapped in African Cameroon leaf, the Serie G is smooth, approachable, and perfect for those who prefer finesse over firepower. A great entry point into the brand.
Notes: Cedar, cream, roasted nuts, light spice
Connecticut Reserve
Connecticut Wrapper
Light and creamy with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. The morning smoke, the post-lunch palate cleanser, or the perfect cigar for someone just discovering what premium tobacco can be.

Master Blends 3

Notes: Dark roast coffee, leather, pepper, earth, dried fruit
Nub
Short & Fat Format
The idea is simple: the best part of any cigar is the last two inches, where the flavors concentrate. Nub gives you all filler, no wasted tobacco. Short, fat, and packed with flavor from the first puff.
